How did Hello Kitty collection come about? Here's how...
It started in 1993 when a fairly young couple with 2 small children opened a shop in Hillingdon. The mother had a great passion for craft and look after the shop while the father supported the family by working as computer engineer. The shop was the home to all different crafts including knitting and cross stitch. While the shop had its best moments, after 12 years in the business it was time to move on.
In 2005 the business was taken online and after slow progess of getting to know the 'online' world, the business expanded into a different market. It was evident that there was a huge gap in the market for new gifts and the couple decided that they wanted to offer something different. Along with the son and daughter, now both grown up, the family worked their way along a path of ups and downs of trading and gained a lot of experience in the field.
In 2010 the family business re-opened a shop in Watford, offering the local customers the same kind of wondeful gifts. The surrounding areas of the shop included a big loving community and the lovely locals supported them. The shop had a small range of Hello Kitty products which caught the eye of about 80% of the visitors, including little kids. It was then, that it was clear exactly what people out there wanted.
A place where they could get everything to do with Hello Kitty. Where everyone who loves Hello Kitty could come together and share their love with other fans. So the family set up this site and decided to change their shop into a Hello Kitty haven. The shop is currently undergoing the change..
While the website is almost up and running, more and more products are being added everyday and soon they'll be other exciting things to look forward to including competitions, free colouring sheets, wisdom words and lots more! So do pop in and say hello, we would love to hear from you!
